Care+Wear Story

The idea for Care+Wear came after a friend's experience receiving treatment through a PICC line. Our friend was told to wear a tube sock to protect and cover the PICC line site making the uncomfortable treatment even more uncomfortable. This bulky, white tube sock became a constant reminder of their illness and also interfered in day to day activities like getting dressed and going to school. We decided to create something new and better that would help patients everywhere living with PICC lines. We wanted to help everyone feel less like patients and more like themselves, empowering them to continue to live their lives.

We realized that there is a real need to bring innovation and design into the entire healthcare industry. In partnership with top hospitals and foundations, Care+Wear designs innovative healthwear to create more positive and effective healing experiences for patients everywhere.

We use a design thinking approach with every product where we co-create with patients, clinicians and hospitals to put the patient first and deliver products that are both functional and fashionable.

Our collection of PICC Line covers and Chest Access shirts is expanding to include super fun covers for everybody’s favorite Major League Baseball teams as well as new shirt designs that are fashion forward while still maintaining access to your chest.

Future products are in the works as we continue the conversation with patients, clinicians and hospitals to create the best patient experience, designed with care!
