Communications Manager

Care+Wear is looking for a Communications Manager to provide strong leadership and vision, owning both the strategy and execution of sharing Care+Wear’s message of improving patient experiences with innovative healthwear.  An ideal candidate will bring a breadth of experience in PR, preferably in the consumer or wellness spaces. The candidate will be capable of executing initiatives that will contribute to raising Care+Wear’s brand awareness, playing a key role in creating a consistent brand position, voice and image. Ideally the candidate will leverage pre-existing networks and continue to build relationships with the media, influencers and private or nonprofit partners. The Manager will work directly with the Co-Founders to design, develop and execute on Care+Wear's PR strategy.   • Drive ideation, development and management of Care+Wear’s overall communications strategy
  • Collaborate with marketing to synchronize DTC messaging and brand voice
  • Responsible for implementing and communicating Care+Wear’s brand messages, mission and philosophy consistently while increasing awareness for the company on a national and local level
  • Produce high-quality communications materials including press releases, blog content, various briefing documents, pitches, fact sheets, newsletters, and award applications
  • Secure impactful media coverage by researching media, writing pitches and developing media lists
  • Establish relationships and maintain regular contact with key external stakeholders such as product partners, nonprofit partners and social influencers
  • Continue to develop C-Suite thought leadership platform, including garnering and supporting top-tier speaking opportunities in the medical/healthcare, fashion and business spaces
  • Monitor media for company mentions, trends and competitor intelligence
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging new media, technologies and social platforms and demonstrate an understanding of how they can be integrated into communications programs
  • Plan and execute events to engage our customer community
  • Some periodic travel required for events and conferences

  • Computer literacy (including Microsoft Office)
  • Knowledge of social media, digital tools and channels
  • At least 2-5 years of experience in public relations, communications or related field
  • Bachelor's degree
