In 2023, I experienced a significant drop in my nutrition due to ongoing health issues, which led to hospital visits and weight loss. I had to advocate for myself countless times, especially regarding my nutrition, which is a basic human right that I felt I was being denied.
Securing a feeding tube required me to navigate my health challenges and the healthcare system, but advocating for myself gave me the courage to discuss this option with my doctors.
