The brand has expanded to include scrubs, NICU bodysuits and children’s solutions such as arm cast covers. Care+Wear works in conjunction with end users, clinicians and designers, including Oscar de la Renta, The Natori Company, and Parsons School of Design, and provides up to 10% of profits to leading institutions. Care+Wear wants all wearers to not only look good but feel their best so they can go about their daily lives with one less worry.
Overview:
Our ideal Product Associate loves rolling up sleeves and getting into the details. You will report directly to the Chief Product Officer and support the building of our products from concept to launch, development, and production. This candidate must be team-oriented, reliable and collaborative, with the ability to navigate a fast-paced environment. You will have the opportunity to grow with the company.
Responsibilities:
- Involvement in all aspects of apparel inclusive of concepting, developing, and production
- Responsible for daily communication with the factories, owning of the work-in-progress reports, and time & action calendar
- Responsible for evaluating, logging and communicating the components for each product inclusive of lab dips, trims, counter samples, and more
- Manages and maintains sampling process and inventory
- Responsible for gathering factory certifications and test results
- Attend all fittings and record feedback; communicate next steps with appropriate parties
- Involved in document preparation for tech packs and inspection documents
- Manage factory inspections with 3rd party inspection facilities (e.g., schedule inspections, communicate needs, send supporting documents, evaluate results, and collaborate on next steps based on inspection results)
- Partner with our freight forwarders and operation teams as they process the inbound logistics of POs
- Prep packages, follow-up on tracking numbers, label garments / items as received, and file appropriately
- Involved in the establishment of new business areas such as linens (towels, sheets, etc)
- Work cross-functionally with other departments to ensure seamless communication and product knowledge for marketing, sales, finance, and operations
- Participate in special events including but not limited to health fairs, promotional events and conferences
- Opportunity to learn technical design skills
Qualifications:
- College degree in related field preferred Must have minimum 2-3 years apparel experience in product development and/or production
- Can communicate with a wide range of personalities, from our CEO, to our vendors and suppliers, to our customers
- Must have strong organizational skills, good judgment, and meticulous attention to detail
- Must have enthusiasm for learning and problem solving
- Must have strong follow-up skills
- Must be team-oriented, reliable and collaborative, with the ability to navigate a fast-paced environment
- Fluency in Microsoft (PowerPoint and Excel) and Adobe (Illustrator and Photoshop) required
- Salary range $50K-63K depending on experience
