Truemed FAQs
1. Can I use my HSA/FSA dollars?
Yes! Thanks to our partnership with TrueMed, eligible products on our site can be purchased using your HSA (Health Savings Account) or FSA (Flexible Spending Account) funds.
2. What products are eligible for HSA/FSA use?
Products that are considered medical in nature and intended to treat or manage a condition—such as our PICC Line Covers, Chest Port Access Shirts, and other Healthwear qualify.
You'll see “Pay with HSA/FSA” on the product page if it is HSA/FSA eligible.
3. How does the TrueMed checkout process work?
At checkout, simply select the TrueMed option. You’ll be guided through a short form to verify medical necessity. Once approved, you'll be able to pay with your HSA or FSA card.
4. Can I use my regular credit card at checkout?
Yes. If you prefer to use your regular credit card, Truemed will send you instructions on how to submit for reimbursement from your HSA//FSA administrator.
5. What if my card doesn’t go through?
If your HSA/FSA card is declined, it may be due to eligibility restrictions or insufficient funds. You can contact your benefits provider or try submitting a reimbursement request manually using an itemized receipt.!
6. Can I get an itemized receipt for my purchase?
Yes. After your purchase, you’ll receive an itemized receipt via email.
7. Do I need a prescription or doctor’s note?
In many cases, TrueMed’s system helps verify medical necessity during checkout, so you may not need to upload a separate prescription. If required, TrueMed will guide you through that process.
8. What happens if I return a product I purchased with HSA/FSA funds?
Returns are handled through our standard return process. If you used your HSA/FSA card at checkout, your refund will be issued back to that card.
Please note: HSA/FSA refunds may take up to 15 business days to process. If you haven’t received your refund after that time, please contact your HSA/FSA administrator. All refunds must be requested directly through Care+Wear—TrueMed does not process refunds.
9. Can I use TrueMed if I already placed an order?
Unfortunately, TrueMed must be used during the original purchase process. We cannot retroactively apply HSA/FSA payment after the order has been completed.
10. Is TrueMed available for all customers?
TrueMed is currently available to U.S. customers with eligible HSA or FSA accounts.
