Managing a medical condition or undergoing treatment is a deeply personal journey, often filled with both physical and emotional challenges. At Care+Wear, we’re committed to making that journey a little easier through thoughtfully designed healthwear that combines comfort, dignity, and practicality.
We are proud to share that many of our products are eligible for purchase using your Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA)—thanks to our partnership with TrueMed. This allows you to access essential medical garments while easing the financial process along the way.

What Are HSAs and FSAs?
If you’re unfamiliar with these terms, here’s a brief breakdown:
-
HSA (Health Savings Account):
A personal savings account where you can set aside pre-tax dollars specifically for medical expenses. Available to individuals with high-deductible health plans, HSA funds roll over year to year, giving you long-term flexibility. -
FSA (Flexible Spending Account):
Typically provided by employers, FSAs also let you set aside pre-tax dollars for healthcare costs. However, most FSAs are “use-it-or-lose-it,” meaning you need to spend your funds within your plan year.
Both accounts are designed to help you manage health-related expenses, giving you more control and peace of mind over your healthcare spending.

How to Use Your HSA or FSA at Care+Wear
We’ve made it easy to use your HSA or FSA to purchase eligible Care+Wear products through our partner TrueMed. Here's how the process works:
1. Shop Eligible Products
Visit our HSA/FSA Eligible Collection. Items like PICC line covers, port access tops, shower protectors, and more are pre-qualified for medical use.
2. Checkout with HSA/FSA
At checkout, select TrueMed to pay directly with your HSA/FSA card. If your card is not accepted or you’d prefer using another method, you can still pay out-of-pocket and submit for reimbursement later.
3. Submit Medical Info (if needed)
Depending on your plan, TrueMed may ask for brief medical information or prompt you to submit a quick form to establish medical necessity. They simplify this step by guiding you through a short health survey, reviewed by a licensed provider if needed.
4. Receive Approval
Once approved, you’ll receive documentation supporting your qualified purchase, which you can keep for your records or submit to your HSA/FSA provider if required. This usually happens within a few business days.
5. Track Receipts & Stay Compliant
TrueMed provides documentation you can store for tax season or future claims. It’s always a good idea to save your receipts and confirmation emails.
Note: Eligibility is based on whether the product is used to treat or alleviate a medical condition. If unsure, reach out to your plan administrator or use the TrueMed Support Center for help.
